2009Arguable partnership: slogan: UNICEF;
2008Arguable partnership: Funds of the United Nations for childhood (UNICEF) made these days the publicity of the fruit-bearing Company, which markets, in Europe, 450.000 tons of exotic fruits under several marks as Dole France or SCB (repurchased in Bolloré). This French multinational, based in Marseilles, indeed signed a partnership with the UNICEF until July 2009 “financing a programme of schooling of young girls in Senegal”. In the exchange of a gift (a priori deductible from the corporation tax) of 0,02 euros per kilogramme of sold fruits, the firm which presents itself readily as a family company can thus communicate around the slogan: “1 kilo of fruit bought = 1 to smile for a child in Africa” with the guarantee of the UNICEF. L' UNICEF forgets only that many children of Senegal, Coast-in Ivoire, Cameroun and Ghana lost the smile because their parents are exploited in the plantations néocoloniales of this generous giver. Underpaid farm labourers, unacceptable work conditions, iron discipline, recourse to l' local repressive apparatus to choke the claims of the civil society, husbandries to the contempt of l' local environment and of the health of the workers, are as many reasons which push us to require of l' UNICEF to give up this scandalous partnership publicly.: Votre Santé
