Maseca is accused of speculating on the price of corn in Mexico. Corn is the main ingredient of tortilla, the basic food of the Mexican population. In three week, the price of tortilla increased from 50 to 90 cents of dollar in Mexico City, and increased by 50% to 100% in the other States. |
