2008France : A criminal investigation was opened into Sollac Dunkirk for corruption, extortion, forgery and use of false administrative documents, unreported export for disposal in the EU of harmful waste. Sollac suspected of having "laundered" several million tonnes of toxic waste between 1993 and 2004. These wastes have been sold in Belgium in the form of fuel tankers.
