According to a report of Greenpeace, Danzer would have deprived both Congos of at least 7,8 million euros of taxes from 2002 to 2006. Concretely, the Siforco company, based as a Democratic republic of Congo (DRC), sells wood at the Swiss company Interholco for an official price lower than the true commercial value. The deficit is made up by payments on accounts offshore oil rig in tax shelters, out of reach tax department of the DRC. Wood will be sold at full price with l' end-buyer. Danzer uses similar methods, gathered under the name of " transfer pricing" , also with its subsidiary company IFO based in Republic of Congo. By thus bleaching its benefit in Europe, the group derives its incomes d' Africa with the detriment of the local populations and their environment. |
